The Oyster Tavern started life as a small country pub, nestled in the heart of Tralee Bay, with the Slieve Mish Mountains at its back and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean stretched out before it. With an abundant ocean harvest outside the front door, including one of the last remaining natural oyster beds in Europe, it seemed only natural to make the most of it. In 1974, the Oyster Tavern started serving local seafood cooked in the home kitchen, and a culinary tradition was born.
We want to make you feel at home, whether it’s a casual pint or a formal dinner. Stroll down Cuckoo Lane just across the road and enjoy a refreshing walk on the beach, breathing in the air of the Wild Atlantic Way.
The Oyster Tavern works tirelessly to earn the loyalty of locals and visitors alike. The McGrath family and the wonderful team are on hand to make sure your experience is the best it can be.
